The shortlist for the 2009 Man Booker Prize for the best novel has now been released. The list includes two past winners, A.S. Byatt and J.M. Coetzee. The four other shortlisted authors are; Hilary Mantell, Adam Foulds, Simon Mawer and Sarah Waters.
